Not just forgiveness for what you've done. Deliverance from what was killing you.
sōtēria · G4991 · GREEK
The Greek word sōtēria (σωτηρία) means to be rescued from real and present danger — not a metaphor, but an actual deliverance, restored to wholeness, health, and right standing before God, and secured in a salvation that was past, is present, and is coming in full. It is the most comprehensive word the New Testament uses for what God does when He saves.
