What we keep when you use witnesshealth.com or your free Witness Health account, how we use it, and the choices you have. Last updated October 11, 2026.
The short version
Witness Health (“we”) provides job coaching, supported employment, life skills courses, credit education, rides and devotionals in West Virginia and the tri-state area. This policy covers witnesshealth.com and the member account you sign in to at connect.witnesshealth.com. People referred to us by an agency, like the WV Division of Rehabilitation Services, are also covered by that program's rules (see “If an agency referred you” below).
When you just visit the website: nothing that names you. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (like your internet address and the page you asked for) for security, for a short time. We don't use advertising trackers.
When you contact us (Get help, employer, ride or callback forms): what you type, like your name, phone, email and message. Please don't include Social Security numbers or medical details.
When you create a free account: your name and your email or cell number. You sign in with a one-time code we email or text you. There is no password to keep.
When you use your account, we keep what you choose to save there, such as:
Tim (our digital support coach) and the gardener are computer programs, not people. What you type to them is sent to our AI provider so it can write an answer. We don't save those chats in your account. Don't type private details like account numbers or health information. In a crisis, call or text 988.
When you tap Listen, the words on the page are sent to our voice provider to be read aloud. Nothing about you is sent with them.
Some things are saved only in your phone or browser: the name the devotional app greets you with, your devotional journal, your garden and some calm tools. We can't see them. If you clear your browser or change phones, they're gone.
Finance Health will let you connect a bank account, if you choose to, through Plaid. It will be optional and read-only: it can see balances and transactions to help with your budget and goals, and it can't move money. Plaid's own privacy policy will apply to what you share with Plaid. You'll be able to disconnect at any time. We'll update this policy with the details before it launches.
Only our staff who work with you can see your account. We use a few service providers to run things, and they may use your information only to do that work for us:
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or your agreement to get texts with anyone for marketing.
Resumes and papers we send to employers never mention disability, health or the agency that funds your services.
If you get services through the WV Division of Rehabilitation Services or another agency, we keep the case records that program requires (referrals, visits, notes and reports) and share them with the staff assigned to you at that agency. Only staff who work with you can see them.
Your information is stored encrypted with a secure hosting provider. Each person signs in with their own login, and security rules keep each person's records separate. No system is perfect, so tell us right away if you think something is wrong.
We keep case records for agency-referred services as long as the program requires.
Our website and free accounts are not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes will be shown on the website or in your account.
