What we text
- Sign-in codes when you create a free account or sign in with your cell number. You only get one when you ask for it.
- Important notices, like an office closing or a visit canceled because of weather
- A heads-up that you have a new message waiting in your account
- For our staff: reminders to clock out at the end of a shift
How often: sign-in codes only when you ask for one; notices usually a few a month. It varies.
Examples:
- “Witness Health sign-in code: 482913. It works once and expires soon. Didn't ask for it? Ignore this text.”
- “Witness Health ALERT: Office closed today due to snow. All visits are canceled. Reply STOP to stop texts.”
How you agree to get texts
Nobody gets texts unless they agree first:
- Creating a free account: on the sign-up page, you enter your cell number and check the box yourself (it is never checked for you): “Text me my sign-in codes. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop.”
- In your account: under Account, you turn on “Text me important notices,” enter your number, check the agreement box yourself and tap Save.
- In person or by phone: your job coach or our office asks if you want texts and reads you these terms. If you say yes, staff record it and the date in your file.
Agreeing to texts is never required to get services. You can always sign in with email instead.
How to stop or get help
- Reply STOP to any text to stop all texts. You'll get one message confirming it. Reply START to turn them back on.
- Reply HELP for help, or call us at (304) 429-9036 or email info@witnesshealth.com.
- You can also turn notices off any time under Account.
Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
