makarios Β· G3107 Β· GREEK
The Greek word makarios (ΞΌΞ±ΞΊΞ¬ΟΞΉΞΏΟ) means to be filled with divine blessing that transcends circumstance, to live as someone favored by God rather than defined by pain, and to possess the deep joy that the world cannot give or take away. It is the word Jesus used to open the greatest sermon ever preached.
